UAS Aerial Security Evaluation Tool (ASET)
UI/UX Design & Research · Web Application
The Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Aerial Security Evaluation Tool (ASET) program helps raise awareness of the cyber and physical risks posed by drones—particularly around large corporate facilities, high-profile events, and critical points of interest. It also evaluates potential threat types associated with UAS activity.
For this project, I collaborated with the federal team to conduct in-depth user research, gather detailed requirements, and define user workflows. I designed wireframes and interactive prototypes, led user testing sessions and UAT demos, and worked closely with the development team to deliver a secure, web-based platform. The new system replaced a manual, spreadsheet-driven process with an integrated assessment and risk management solution—dramatically improving usability, data accuracy, and overall operational efficiency for both internal and external users.
Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS)
UI/UX Design & Research · Web Application
The Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) program, managed by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), identifies and regulates high-risk chemical facilities to ensure appropriate security measures are in place—mitigating the risk of hazardous chemicals being weaponized.
For this project, my team was tasked with revamping the entire CFATS application to modernize workflows, introduce consistent design patterns, and create a seamless user experience. I collaborated with the federal team to conduct in-depth user research, gather requirements, and map out optimized workflows. I designed wireframes and interactive prototypes, facilitated user testing and UAT demos, and partnered with the development team to deliver a secure, responsive web platform that significantly improved usability and operational efficiency across the system.
ChemLock Program
UI/UX Design & Research · Web Application
CISA is a recognized international leader in chemical security with more than a decade of experience assisting facilities in building tailored security plans to prevent terrorist exploitation of their chemicals. From on-site consultations to chemical security publications, the CISA ChemLock program offers scalable, tailored options for facilities looking to enhance their chemical security posture. As part of the ChemLock initiative, I collaborated with the federal team to gather requirements, conduct user research, and map user workflows. I designed wireframes and interactive prototypes, led user testing sessions and UAT demos, and worked closely with the development team to implement a secure digital environment. The resulting platform supports both internal and external users in accessing chemical security resources, participating in assessments, and engaging in preparedness exercises.
CFIUS Risk Management System
UI/UX Design & Research · Web Application
The Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) is an interagency committee that reviews foreign investments for potential national security risks. CISA contributes to this process by assessing cybersecurity and supply chain threats.
For this project, I collaborated with the federal team to conduct user research, gather requirements, and develop user workflows. I designed wireframes and interactive prototypes, facilitated user testing and UAT demos, and partnered with the development team to build a secure, web-based environment. This system transitioned stakeholders from a manual, spreadsheet-based process to a comprehensive assessment and risk management platform, significantly improving efficiency, usability, and accessibility for both internal and external users.
